The Montparnasse district, about twenty minutes on foot from the Hotel du Danube, is undergoing major restructuring. Among the various projects that are nearing or have reached completion is the Ateliers Gaîté, which opened its doors this October. This shopping centre, resolutely anchored in the district, hosts a place like no other, the Food Society.
Have fun and fill up at any time
From 8 a.m. until late at night, the Food Society is ready to delight you. This 3,500 m² space amidst the shops of Ateliers Gaîté is entirely dedicated to gastronomy. It’s a huge food court where you can choose your favourite type of cuisine from fifteen food stands. Then, you just take a seat and enjoy your purchase. From the coffee shop to start the day in a gourmet way to the cocktail bar for the later part of the evening, you are welcome to come and satisfy your appetite and thirst in the lively Montparnasse district.
You’ll be spoiled for choice
If you visit the Food Society in the morning, the pancakes with fresh fruit accompanied by a strong espresso from Café Coutume are essential, but the choice becomes more complicated at lunch and dinner. Go around the world in just a few stands, thanks to Yemma and its Moroccan canteen, My Tannour from Syria, Tambo and its cuisine from the Andes, the Comptoir Coréen (Korean cuisine), and Osteria Ferrara and its delicious Italian specialities. In the middle of the afternoon, you’ll find it hard to resist the temptations offered by the great chefs pâtissiers at Fou de Pâtisserie!
The Food Society is a different way to satisfy your appetite. At your own pace, following your whims and curiosity, it invites you to enjoy a gourmet and unconstrained break throughout the day. Great discoveries await you during your stay at the Hotel du Danube!
