A picturesque Valentine's day
If you are visiting Paris, take it from a Parisian, there is no neighborhood more romantic and picturesque than Montmartre to celebrate Valentine's day ! The tiny and steep paved streets, the lights, the bohemian soul that lingers on the hillock a century after its golden age, not to mention the tremendous view on Paris from the Sacré Coeur parvis... it is the heaven of lovers !
To enjoy this peculiar atmosphere, the best thing is still to walk hand in hand along the little streets and squares of Montmartre. Those of you that clichés do not bother will even be able to have their portrait drawn by one of the artists who invest the Place du Tertre, or offer each other flowers and souvenirs from peddlers. For those who would rather spend a more intimate and privileged evening, the famous restaurant Le Moulin de la Galette – which reputation is already made – offers every year a special menu for a romantic evening (created by chef Pascal Taprest), for 75€ per person. For the bucolic atmosphere, the delicious food and the hint of a historical smell, this is an idea that could very well make this evening unforgettable... But do not forget to book your table in advance, the place is very popular on Valentine's day !
